Painting with Natural Selection is a museum installation that uses interactive media and concepts in evolution to engage the user in the wonders of evolution and scientific experimentation.
Painting is part of a larger art and science project that explores the relationship between evolution and reproduction, that we have dubbed Evo-Repro (read more here). At its core, Evo-Repro is software that simulates virtual organisms growing, reproducing and evolving.
In Painting, visitors will affect the evolution of the simulated organisms by affecting their virtual environment.
